Sabi - Minimalist Mountain Textured Painting

Sabi - Minimalist Mountain Textured Painting
“Sabi” is one of the “Wabi Sabit” series of minimalist textured white painting to celebrate imperfections, a japanese concept. This painting is shown at Yin Chua’s first solo exhibition.
The mountain motifs are Inspired by a Himalayans trek in 2016, where Yin was awe-struck by the majestic ranges named "Sleeping Buddha" which consists of some of the world's highest peak including the Mount Everest. When she stood there taking in the view, all worries vanished and humans and their troubles seemed so insignificant.
In this timeless beauty of a minimalist mountain painting lies a profound and soothing experience that transcends the boundaries of art. "Sabi" is an enchanting piece that effortlessly captures the essence of calm, simplicity, and tranquility, leaving observers with a sense of inner peace and harmony.
At the heart of the canvas, a majestic mountain rises gracefully, its form distilled to its most elemental elements. The use of clean lines, subtle gradients made with textures, and a restrained color palette reflects the essence of minimalism, allowing viewers to immerse themselves fully in the serene landscape. Unburdened by excessive details, the artwork beckons us to explore the boundless depths of our imagination, inviting us to embrace the beauty of simplicity.
The minimalistic approach in "Sabi” accentuates the essence of Zen philosophy, which cherishes the present moment and the tranquility found in nature. The absence of distractions enables us to focus solely on the majesty of the mountain, fostering a meditative state that soothes the mind and nurtures the soul.
