Generate Pretentious Artist Statement and Art Description
Yes, Art is pretentious the moment Duchamp made the urinal avant-garde. Add to that, can you ever truly understand the descriptions and artist statement you see of “contemporary art” in museums? My writing teacher always teach us to avoid jargon so that everyone can understand what you’re trying to say. I guess the opposite is true when it comes to Art.
As an artist, I always struggle to make my descriptions “Arty”. I’m sure you’ll understand if you read them. I mean, you CAN understand them right?
Good thing I found these websites. Artybollocks instantly generate convuluting Artist Statements that are strangely entertaining. And Isabel Kim is a lifesaver with this.
Untitled, 2017
bloodred crushed bodies of cochineal insects, egg cartons, laptops.
This work is a traumatic, autobiographical complex tapestry consisting of two figures in snorkel gear taking pictures which is reminiscent of collapsing boundaries between performance, sculpture, architecture, and documentation.
The work deploys contemporary life, culture, and scienceas suggesting innumerable idiosyncrasies of human relations.
Now, there’s more time for making more art.
